While studying lighting design at NYU, Tisch School of the Arts, Robert became increasingly frustrated with how other people photographed his work. To solve this, he took matters into his own hands and taught himself how to use a camera. After getting down the basics, he became acutely aware of how the digital sensor and the human eye see and process light differently. Beyond theatrical lighting, he has explored how to manipulate the sun, flashes/strobes, and candlelight to render the best possible image.
The galleries presented here show a wide range of work. In each category, some have been theatrically lit, some shot in a photo studio, and others in the field.
Photography services are available for all types of work: Events, Portraits (in studio and/or on location), Product, and photojournalism. Rates and client list available upon request. Please inquire for more information.
